Finders SA has always taken privacy, data protection and ethics very seriously. Therefore, we want to ensure the safe use of our website, our database and all data stored there or on our premises.
1. Key terms
“Client” means any of our Clients and their employees who are seeking to recruit or assess employees and to whom we provide the Services.
“Candidate” means any candidate, applicant, prospect or Client employee who is considered or assessed by Finders in connection with the Services.
“Referee” means any person who provides employment or personal references for a specific Candidate.
“Source” means any individual who helps to identify and provide market intelligence about potential Candidate.
“Supplier” means any entity other than Finders SA that provides products or services to Finders SA pursuant to a contract with Finders SA.
“Coachee” means any person who requests and receives coaching services from our Talent Development Consultants.
2. Personal data we collect, how and why
Finders SA gives you the opportunity to submit your CV to apply online for a job vacancy of your choice or as advised by our recruitment consultants. You can also submit your data as an unsolicited application. We can also search for your CV and personal data in other public domains such as LinkedIn, Xing, Job-Up or E-Financial.
Finders SA will regularly advise you about job opportunities that may be of interest to you. You have the right to refuse to receive this information at any time.
Finders SA will inform you by mail of any relevant or interesting events in which we may participate or in which we think you may be interested in participating. You may request to be removed from the mailing list at any time.
The information we securely store and retain may be used for a variety of purposes, including:
- In the course of research, assessment or coaching, if we are in the process of recruiting you as a Candidate for a position with a Client, making an assessment as an employee of a Client, identifying outstanding Candidates for you as a Client, retaining you as a Supplier or engaging with you as a Source or Referee in relation to one of our Candidates.
- When you visit our website (http://www.finders.ch) and in the normal course of our business, such as events and marketing activities.
2.1 Candidate data
Identification data: all data such as first and last name, marital status, photograph, date of birth, gender, past or present employment, nationality or work permit information.
Personality profile: all data collected during a psychometric test, as well as information relating to hobbies and social activities, individual preferences, intellectual capacity, personality or behaviour.
Financial information: all information required to reimburse expenses incurred in connection with the Services, including bank account number and details of expenses to be reimbursed.
Any other information contained on a CV submitted via our website, by e-mail or via CV-techs.
2.2 Client data
We need to collect and use information about you or individual(s) within your organization in the course of providing the Services to you. As a general rule, we only require your contact details or the details of individual contacts within your organization (such as name, telephone number, e-mail address and job title) to ensure that our relationship runs smoothly. We also hold information relating to candidate submissions during a recruitment process and may also hold information about you that a third party has chosen to share with us.
2.3 Referee data
We process the contact details that any Referee provides to us, (such as name, e-mail address and telephone number). We also process data of a professional nature, such as the position held or professional title, and the Referee’s links with the candidate in question. We systematically ask candidates to provide us with a Referee, and we collect additional information from publicly accessible sources (such as LinkedIn) or by contacting you directly.
2.4 Supplier data
We require information from each Supplier to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure. We need the contact details of the relevant individual(s) in your organization so that we can communicate with you. We also need other information, such as your bank details so that we can pay for the services you provide (if this is part of the contractual agreement between us).
3. Equality

4. Data retention period
By submitting your application or agreeing to work with us, you authorize Finders to keep your file and your personal information for a period of 5 years, which may be extended to 10 years if the law requires a longer period, in particular for accounting or administrative reasons. At the end of this period, your data will be anonymized or destroyed, depending on its content. You may request that your personal data be deleted at any time during this period by contacting the data controller listed below.
5. Place of processing and storage of your data
All data that you send us or that we collect from public sources is stored at our company headquarters in Lausanne or on our IT systems in Switzerland.
6. Sharing with third parties
Your CV and personal information are stored in our database and are only accessible by Finders recruitment consultants or third parties, provided that you have expressly given your permission to submit your application data for a position with a Client. The only other person with access to your data is yourself, should you wish to modify or delete any data.
7. Data security
Although Finders SA takes great care to ensure the confidentiality and protection of your personal data, there are always risks involved in communicating data electronically (including via the Internet). Thus, this notice does not cover other data collection or processing, including, but not limited to, the data collection practices of other websites to which we provide links on our site free of charge and for which Finders SA declines all responsibility.
